Erectile Dysfunction ( ED )

Often causes are because of general health issues. Diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease and kidney disease are associated with erectile dysfunction. It is common for patients and their partners to feel inappropriately responsible for the erectile dysfunction. Some patient partners worry they might not be sufficiently attractive. With appropriate health interventions, many patients find they improve.

What is Wave Therapy?

Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) for ED Treatment consists of low-intensity shock waves that are applied to different areas of the penis. ESWT treatment works by stimulating new blood vessel growth and improving blood flow, thereby improving the ability to achieve an erection.

How does Wave Therapy compare to alternatives?

Erectile dysfunction can be treated momentarily with pills. Treatment via pills is short-lived and requires continued reliance. Meaning to say, erectile dysfunction medication does not cure the underlying problem.

When purchasing erectile dysfunction medication, it is best to obtain it from reliable sources. There have been instances of fake erectile dysfunction medications marketed as the real deal. These imitations of legitimate brands often originate from China or Malaysia. As they are not regulated by any medical authority, imitation pills may be manufactured in unsanitary conditions or contain harmful ingredients.

Surgical procedures and implants are other alternatives to treat erectile dysfunction. However, they are usually only recommended if other treatments are unsucessful.

Avoid consuming illegal or unregulated erectile dysfunction supplements, or " candy ". These are non-medical-grade treatments that are not approved by the HSA - they may cause more harm than good. Recorded side effects include heart attacks, strokes, vision, and hearing loss.

How many sessions do I need?

According to clinical studies, the recommended course of ESWT treatment is 6 sessions.

Are there any side effects?

Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) has been used for the treatment of vascular erectile dysfunction since 2010 [1]. It is a non-invasive procedure and has no recorded side effects.
